Engineering Capabilities
Gilbert Mechanical's team of in-house design professionals includes five registered engineers and four graduate engineers. This technical expertise adds real value for our clients. Our engineers understand the latest technologies and they know how to apply energy efficient solutions in a cost effective manner.
We use Trane Trace software for heat loss/gain calculations, economic analysis and energy calculations. Using
this software, we have the ability to model the building and accurately calculate annual energy costs. We are able
to
look at alternative HVAC systems and compare the initial installation costs to the annual energy costs. With that data, we can select a solution that fits the customer's needs.
Gilbert has a dedicated Energy Engineer on staff. He continuously monitors incentive and rebate programs from gas and electric utility companies then aggressively pursues them on behalf of the customer.
Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Our CAD designers are trained in Revit 3D imaging software which is used to coordinate complex mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems with structural and architectural features. The 3D model we create identifies collision and potential trouble spots.
When Gilbert commissions an HVAC system, we rely on the talents of our automation division. We are a factory authorized Alerton controls representative. The automation system gives the building owner a visual representation of his building's Mechanical components. Real time readings for data like temperature, humidity, CO2, ventilation rates or kilowatt consumption are available on a computer dashboard. This dashboard documents that the system is performing to specified requirements.
Since Gilbert Mechanical turn-keys the engineering, installation, controls, start-up, testing and service of the HVAC system, we are completely accountable for its performance.
